A Joyful and Inclusive Engagement Session with Rachel and Kysha
Talk about a perfect day for a session!
On the heels of Boston’s Pride Weekend, Kysha, Rachel and I met outside of the Boston Public Garden for their engagement session. I dug their vibe from the time they booked me and couldn’t wait to meet.
And then I found out that Rachel had been keeping a secret from me 😂 - She went to camp with my husband and that’s how she found me. They were childhood friends - which I thought was too funny and perfect. It was the perfect icebreaker to start our session on.
They were nervous, like so many of my clients are, and since this was our first time working together, I took my time getting to know them. I always want my clients to feel like themselves and have a joyful experience getting their photo taken. That starts by creating real connection, and making sure they feel seen, heard, and represented.
For that reason we spent time at different parts of the park and the city of Boston that were meaningful to Rachel and Kysha.
We ended the session at sunset on the Boston Harbor by Christopher Columbus Park and the restaurant where they had their first date. With the rose garden in full bloom and the twinkling lights of ships and restaurants, behind us, it was the perfect end to our session together.
