A Playful North End Engagement Session with Kelsey + Mel

Get ready for puppies! Well, one puppy and her two adorable elder siblings. I honestly, couldn’t even handle this rowdy bunch, or the fact that they all just happen to have fur in the same color palette?! Come on!

Due to the fact that the puppy was a bit of a surprise to Kelsey + Mel and to our session (welcome new little friend!), we kept their part in our time together simple and only took a few photos with them by our starting point in in North Square Park.

Kelsey’s Salon isn’t far from here, so it was a no brainer to meet there and start at North Square Park by the Paul Revere House and infamous Ciao Roma sign, This is THE quintessential North End neighborhood.

If you’re doing a session in a high traffic or touristy area, I typically recommend timing it for the early morning hours to reduce the number of random people in the background. For Kelsey + Mel, we really wanted to capture a little sunset on the water so with some patience, we were able to make a golden hour session work. I’m also a photoshop wiz when it comes to removing people from the background of photos so that helped here too!

Follow along as we wander playfully from the North End, through little alleyways and small parks, ending in the seaport on the Harborwalk with giggles and sunset kisses.
