A Wedding at the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum

I love a full-circle moment, and these two have such a special one!

Briana and Matt both went to the same college and were active in the comedy scene on campus. While they knew one another, they didn’t interact much. Until three years after college when the pair reconnected on the dance floor at a mutual friend’s wedding.

The couple’s love of architecture was always a big part of their story. They chose the Waltham Watch Factory for their engagement session and we had so much fun exploring the old mill buildings that sit nestled on the water just outside of Boston.

Their wedding venue, the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum, is set in the heart of Chestnut Hill. The building stands as a testament to both history and innovation. Originally built in the 19th century, this architectural gem once provided clean drinking water to the city of Boston. Today, its towering machinery and industrial charm offer a unique setting for couples seeking a wedding venue that breaks the mold.

Imagine exchanging vows amidst the grandeur of vintage pumps and towering pipes, the echoes of history mingling with the promises of forever. The contrast of love and machinery, tradition and innovation, creates a dynamic backdrop for a ceremony that's anything but ordinary. It's a celebration of the past and the future, intertwined in a moment that's uniquely yours. Keep scrolling to see how incredible this space can be for your big day!

As the ceremony concludes, guests are invited to indulge in a cocktail hour that seamlessly transitions from solemnity to celebration. Picture sipping signature cocktails amidst the museum's artifacts, the clinking of glasses echoing off the historic walls. From old-fashioned favorites to contemporary concoctions, there's something to delight every palate as guests mingle and toast to the happy couple.

And then comes the reception, where the real magic happens. The same space that witnessed your vows transforms into a scene of revelry and joy. Long tables adorned with industrial-chic décor stretch beneath the museum's soaring ceilings, while the machine’s lights cast a warm glow over the festivities
