Natalie + Breanne's Coolidge Corner Engagement Session
When I had the chance to chat with Natalie and Breanne about their engagement session, I was thrilled. We spent time talking about where they wanted to go, what types of images they hoped to get, and what kind of vibe they wanted to have in their photos. Natalie and Breanne wanted to have engagement photos that really felt like them. We decided to meet in Coolidge Corner, one of Brookline’s most beloved neighborhoods, to recreate a classic date day for the two of them.
We began our adventure at Brookline Booksmith, a necessary stop one and of their favorite bookstores. We meandered around the neighborhood before stopping at Otto for pizza (the Buffalo Cauliflower with a side of ranch is Breanne’s fav! YUM!).
I think it’s great when couples opt to put a lot of their own personality into their engagement session. It’s oftentimes the first time we’re meeting in real life, and so what a great way to get to know them as a couple. Also, the photos are always some of my favorite. They just really have a vibe to them! It helps that they chose two things I also have a deep love for - books and pizza!
Coolidge Corner is one of Brookline’s most popular neighborhoods and is home to one of our favorite small theaters - The Coolidge. The Midnight showings are our happy place, and I was delighted to stop here for a few photos before heading over to the green line T stop.
I’m so grateful to have couples that trust me. After capturing the Coolidge Corner stop and a bit of the green line whirring by, we hopped the fence and went into the tulip patch to get these shots. We were kind of in between the train stop and Beacon St traffic. It wasn’t the prettiest area, per say, but Natalie and Breanne trusted me and I’m so glad. I had a vision and it worked out!
Our last stop was Otto Pizza for a quick bite before I got these two off to work for the day! Since we captured these photos in the late morning, we had beautiful window light and opted for cokes instead of beers. But we definitely still ordered, and ate, pizza!
This bookstore / pizza shop engagement session is probably one of my favorite from 2022. Since their wedding is around the corner, I had to share it! Congrats, Natalie and Breanne. We can’t wait to celebrate at your wedding this weekend at Briar Barn Inn!
