Engagement: Cody & Mikayla - A Perfect Boston Proposal Story

Last November we had the honor of capturing Cody’s proposal to Mikayla.

After some back and forth about possible locations, and one very failed attempt at tricking Mikayla into a destination proposal, Cody settled on the perfect spot and something quite sentimental. He brought Mikayla back to where it all began - the very benches where they fell in love.

It was a beautiful fall day in Boston and the gardens were popping with color. Peak foliage in the city has been hitting later and later each year, but in general, the Public Gardens stay pretty colorful well into fall. The Common’s Willow trees turn last, transforming from green to yellow to orange in a vibrant display.

Awwwe, I love it when a proposal goes well! This little moment after where they hugged and Cody looked at me like “YES! We pulled it off!” was so sweet.
