Lauren + Jared's Museum of Science Wedding

In the heart of Boston, where love meets science, Lauren and Jared crafted a wedding day that was as unique as their shared journey. The Museum of Science set the stage for this extraordinary celebration, where the Charles River and the Boston skyline served as witnesses to their love story.

When you look at the attention to detail of this wedding, you may be surprised that L+J were originally considering an estate venue for their wedding. If you know them, though, you wouldn’t be surprised by this direction at all. Jared is an industrial engineer and Lauren has a Ph.D. in neurobiology, and these two are anything but cookie-cutter.

The day started with detail photos and getting-ready moments at the Kimpton Marlowe hotel, and we had so much fun styling this flat lay. Their pastel rainbow color palette was to die for, and we loved the attention to detail for their science-themed soiree.

A Perfect First Look Spot!

Under the warm summer sun, North Point Park transforms into a picturesque haven - vibrant greenery and the gentle breeze of the Charles River offer the perfect backdrop for L+J’s first look. Not to mention, you have the Boston skyline and the iconic Museum of Science standing tall in the background.

A perfect first look with private vows was followed by wedding party and family photos. When couples get married at the Museum of Science, I love having the option of North Point Park for formal photos. It offers the contrast of a lush green background to the grandiose, epic riverside venue that is the Museum of Science - promising a really fun range of photos! Not to mention, we’re just steps away from their wedding venue.

And you know we juts had to take some exhibit hall pictures! We brought out our atmosphere spray and strobes for the spacecraft pose - how could we not?!

Riverside Romance

Guests arrived and snapped pics by the water, with the Longfellow Bridge and Boston skyline in the background, as they made their way to their seats. The ceremony took place under the pavilion, a breathtaking spot that offers panoramic views of the Charles River.

Scientific Elegance

Every detail of the wedding spoke to Lauren and Jared's shared love for science. From Jared's atom cufflinks to the DNA strand invitations, the wedding was a beautiful fusion of elegance and scientific whimsy. Beaker bud vases adorned the tables, and each table card doubled as an information card, offering guests fascinating tidbits related to the world of science.

Cocktail Hour Amongst Discoveries

Following the ceremony, guests transitioned to the lawn and exhibit hall for a cocktail hour unlike any other. Surrounded by interactive exhibits, they mingled, laughed, and explored the wonders of science while Lauren and Jared stole away for a golden hour photoshoot as the sun set over the city.

Tented Reception with a View

The pavilion, with its stunning outlook onto the Charles River and the twinkling Boston skyline, provided the perfect canvas for the dancing. The Museum offers a tented area for dinner and speeches, transforming the pavilion from a ceremony space into a dance floor filled with laughter, love, and a few fun surprises. We love when the parents join in for the hora!

Dad's Drumming Surprise

The night took an unexpected turn when Lauren's father surprised the guests by joining the band for a drum sit-in. Rocking a solo, he brought an extra beat of joy to the dance floor, creating a moment that the couple, and their guests, will cherish forever. What a way to end an epic night!
