Wedding: Lovely, Intimate Lakeside Microwedding for this Same Sex Couple

This intimate backyard microwedding at a private lakeside neighborhood in N. Attleboro was seriously everything we needed to experience this past summer! Take a peek at our favorite moments, and read all about their love story below.

Jared met Jonathan online in 2012. Just six years and a lake house later and they were engaged! They had originally planned a fabulous destination wedding in Italy, but like many had to switch gears when COVID and aging relatives, as Jared says. “put the kibosh on that!” They started to think in terms of local and non traditional and while chatting with a friend who had their own backyard wedding, they realized - why not take over their neighbor’s gorgeous property and do it at the lake?!

It was a warm, bright day at Bungay Lake, with crystal blue skies and big puffy clouds - pretty much the perfect weather for any lake hang.

Their casual summer attire and matching Vans couldn’t have made their dockside first look more picture perfect.

We snapped a few portraits then climbed aboard the boat that would take us across the lake to their wedding. What an entrance!

After some excited, happy greetings and a few boutonnière pinnings, we were ready to get these two married.

Officiated by their close friend, and with the lake spread out before them, the J’s read their own vows and exchanged Rolex’s in front of their family and neighbors.

After a few laughs (and a few tears), I Do’s were said and we were off to to take family and couples photos!

We gave the J’s back to their friends and family to enjoy some delish Surf + Turf via McGrath Clambakes and party with Silver Arrow Band.

We capped off the evening with dancing and cake cutting, followed by sparklers and a sunset silhouette on our boat ride back to the J’s. What a dream!
