Harvard's Hidden Gem: The Chapel of 1959 – Where History Meets Romance

On the lookout for a wedding venue that marries history with charm? Well, let me introduce you to the Chapel of 1959 at Harvard Business School. Tucked away on the HBS campus, this hidden gem is not just a chapel; it's a piece of history that adds a touch of timeless elegance to your special day.

Built in 1959, this chapel has witnessed decades of stories unfold within its walls. With its mid-century modern architecture, it stands as a testament to the enduring traditions of Harvard Business School. The chapel's sleek lines and minimalist design make it a unique and stylish backdrop for couples who appreciate a blend of history and contemporary flair.

Step inside, and you'll be greeted by the chapel's understated beauty. The interior boasts clean lines, large windows that flood the space with natural light, illuminating a hidden indoor garden oasis and a chapel that is nothing short of magnificent. When the light is just right in the chapel, rainbows dance off the concrete walls. It’s a place that is as grandiose as it is intimate - a combination that is so hard to accomplish.

You just can’t make this up! The lighting in this venue is nothing short of magical. The way the light creates a prism effect was the perfect way to end this beautiful micro wedding.

The exterior of the chapel offers a number of fun backdrops for portraits and group photos. After we finished family photos, we went back inside the Chapel of 1959 to take a few couples photos inside their indoor garden courtyard. Afterward, we wandered around the Harvard Business School campus, taking photos amidst the lush greenery and historic brick buildings, ending our session on the bridge overlooking the Charles river.
