Editorial: Caught In a Snow Globe - A Modern Winter Elopement at The Liberty Hotel
Featured in Bustld
This shoot is an ode to all of the couples struggling to pivot their wedding plans into an intimate elopement during COVID. We really wanted to showcase how special and beautiful a small celebration can be, especially in Boston.
The Liberty Hotel is one of our favorite hidden gems in Boston. A historic landmark in Boston, this former jail turned upscale hotel is located right next to the red line, the Charles River, and Beacon Hill, and of course not far from city hall, making it ideal for intimate weddings and elopements.
We really wanted to highlight everything that comes with changing a wedding day and how going with the flow, and sometimes choosing a more affordable option, can work in your favor. Wearing attire from H&M and Target, our couple takes simple, effortless elegance to the next level without breaking the bank. For folks who couldn’t go dress shopping in person, or who’s dresses or suits weren’t ready for their new wedding dates, being able to think outside the box and know your options is key.
The light snow was the perfect collaborator, really pulling our winter shoot together (it was a surprise, believe it or not! Thanks New England weather, we actually love you). Combined with the pandemic, the snowfall made for a quiet lobby and one epic photo session. Check out all the beautiful details and the incredible vendor team below. Definitely keep them in mind for your intimate elopement needs.
